Experience
Before pursuing graduate studies, I spent 3 years working in education consulting in Shanghai, China. I primarily helped students with university applications, and the students I worked with got in to schools including CalTech, Columbia, NYU, the University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, and UC Berkeley. I also helped develop and teach a Public Speaking and Confident Communication course and also have experience in English language tutoring. My resume is available upon request. I love working with students for several reasons, but the overarching one is that I really enjoy seeing my students progress and find more joy in learning. Sometimes the logistics of school or the college application process overwhelm students, and it's my goal to help you focus on your learning and understanding of whatever it is you're working on. In this vein I view my role primarily as a facilitator and our work as a collaboration: I am here to help and guide you. My experience in college admissions and essay advising and Public Speaking training, as well as my undergraduate (and now graduate) coursework in Government, Politics, and Economics prepare me well to help you reach your goals.

Hobbies
My hobbies include cooking, gardening, walking and hiking, and keeping up with current events. I'm also involved with the Graduate Policy and Administration Community at USC, where I am an MPP candidate specializing in Transportation Policy. Reading about new technology and progress within my field is also important to me, as is taking time to work on my Chinese language skills I developed throughout college and in my time working there. I also enjoy Indie and classic rock music and the occasional movie or TV show.
